This site exists to let you see what’s happening in the Edinburgh Festival(s) - whichever Festival it is in Edinburgh that you want.
It’s notably free from any advertising banners, and is not sponsored by a newspaper, televison channel or alcoholic drink. It is, rather dangerously, independent, and welcomes contributions from anyone who cares to make them (but make them well). Sort of viral, subversive, web 2.0 and social. It does not have a business model - it has a social model.
It has a few toys to play with - maps, a twitter channel, and even details of how to find parking from locals.
There are a few festivals. But only one domain name to remember: www.edinburghfestival.org
The site is owned by and created by David Petherick, a native son of Edinburgh, using WordPress open source software, running on a Linux platform. It is hosted by Certain Host.
